Bike won't start

I was riding out 1 day and I pulled over and turned the bike off to have a chat. I went to restart the bike after and it wouldn't start. The bike turns over but it won't start for nothing. I have checked and cleaned both spark plugs, put new fuel in and cleaned the airbox. I just can't figure out why. When I try start it I sometimes turn the throttle a little. I hear a massive bank from the exhaust. I now need a new battery where I have been using it and having to keep charging up to keel trying to start it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

Hi and welcome ... is the clutch switch connector fully connected? Side stand switch? I'd check those and spray contact cleaner into them first ....

What bike, exactly, do you have?

I have sv650 2001 blue. when i put the tank back on and attach all the pipes and attempt to start the bike and take off the tank again there is fuel coming out the pipes so the fuel is fine. i was told to put a little oil down the barrel of the plugs to test the compression but nothing happened. im completly lost

i was told that the problems could be spark plug timings as everything seems fine but there is nothing on you tube for sv650. its very fustrating

Think about what happened just before the problem started. Clutch, kill switch, side stand switch... As Craig380 has suggested I bet it is an electrical gremlins on something you touched while you were parked up.

Check the earth for the side side stand switch. - it's bolted on by the gear selector and gets me every time I take the sprocket cover off.

It's easy for the wire to either break or get a bad connection
