problem with flasher relay.
hey everyone,
graet day yesterday i finally had my sv650s k6 de-restricted and fitted my new tail tidy and integrated tail light, but there is one problem... as i switch on the indicators ive realised they are flashing to fast does anyone know what relay i might need or if there is a simple solution to this???? cheers in advance |
Re: problem with flasher relay....
Have the same problem...SV650s 1999.Real idicators are stock, front indicators are Valter Moto.I will ask a mechanic and will let know, plese do the same if you find out

Re: problem with flasher relay....
buy a larger flasher relay that should slow them down

Re: problem with flasher relay....
You need a different relay to solve this, simple enough to fit.

Re: problem with flasher relay.
you can add resistors to the wiring where the after-market indicators are as if they use LEDs rather than filiment bulbs they have less resistance. The flasher relay in there as standard uses a charging / discharging circuit to do the timing, so adding resistance slows the cycle back down again.
Or you've got a bulb blown and not thought to look at the other end of the bike :D |
Re: problem with flasher relay.
iam in the same position just fitted tail tidy and the indis are flashing to quick
i cant seem to find the relay where about is it?? |
Re: problem with flasher relay.

but does anyone know where i can get a high voltage one?? thanks phil |

Re: problem with flasher relay.
Voltage has nothing to do with it. Its the current.
Just fit resisters across the indicators or fit a LED flasher relay.:D |
Re: problem with flasher relay.
yeah sry its cause on me rs when i fitted the indi's i changed the relay for a "bigger" one and it sorted out the problem,
but i cant seem to find a relay for the suzuki only universal ones which arnt the same connector anyway, and i dont fancy paying for a resistor at ?6 each anybody no where i can get one from thanks phil |
