Please be advised there are still rooms available. We were there today and there were a few still remaining.

Ah man, I read somewhere it was all booked up and so went and got myself a tent! lol

Oh well, quite excited at the thought of braving the welsh weather now.

Tim at the hotel couldn't confirm there were still rooms available, but he said he'd look when we left. He couldn't do it then as there was a wedding inside. If there are any left, I'll find out tomorrow, but getting a tent was a good move anyway...just make sure you've got a nice self-inflating roll mat. I spent almost £30 on one for this weekend, but it was worth every penny, best sleeps I've ever had camping!

Yeah I'm getting an airbed, cheap one from Go Outdoors prob, like £8.

Going to wire a 12v cig socket to my bike and borrow Electro's electric pump to inflate it ;)

Get a self inflating roll mat. A little more £££ but MUCH less likely to snag and be deflated. Also, no need to blow it up! :-)

I've tried loads of airbeds, none as confy as the self inflating roll matt I bought last week!

Hmm, I dunno, I think I prefer a bigger airbed if I'm honest. They look really...uncomfortable lol.

Maybe next week when I go back to my Go Outdoors I'll ask to try some, feel the difference myself.

You'll prefer the feel of an airbed. Problem is, every airbed I've had, even with a very thick groundsheet and the built in tent groundsheet has had a puncture and there is no worse thing than being freezing cold and uncomfortabel because there's no air in your bed so not getting any sleep.

Technically yes, self inflating roll mats can have punctures too. Dans did after having it and using it for 4-5 years, but used the puncture repair kit and workd fine now. They are just usually made of stronger stuff.

I let mine inflate, blow a few extra breaths in to really pump it up and start like that. After about 1/2 an hour I usually let a little air out, but that's always well before I decide to go to sleep :-)
