Chicken or egg?
I have encountered a problem when trying to insure my new bike.
1) DVLA won't register the bike without insurance 2) Insurance company (Bikesure) won't insure without a registration. I know what the reg will be once it's registered but dealer says telling insurance company ahead of it being registered will cause a problem. I can't believe this is a new problem that has never been encountered before. I'll try again tomorrow. :( |

You can insure on the VIN you just need to find somebody who knows that [emoji38]

Good to know, thanks. I'll try that tomorrow. |
Re: Chicken or egg?
It seems that Bikesure say that they don't check the registration number with the DVLA so much ado about nothing.
However, I think that a charge of £230 to take the Yam off and add the GSX is extortionate. I did a quick Comparethemarket and could get a single policy on the GSX for £140. Bikesure refused to budge on their quote and I'm in a hurry so they got their pound of flesh. I don't recommend Bikesure though. |
