SK6 Napoleon Blue. Spares or Repair

For sale one careful owner and then me.
62,000 and something miles. Up until the middle of this week an honest reliable, if slightly aged SV. Wearing a few battle scars with pride.

Then a slight grinding sound, which got worse . At first I thought it was the rear carrier as the main bearing was toast. I changed this. Then I thought it was the chain, but that's in good nick. Alas after looking closer today the sound is eminating from the engine. I seem to be able to shift up and down with no clutch whatsoever. With the chain on it skips and lurches. So I figure it's dead/dying.

So as I have no real idea about engine open heart surgery I need to either pass her on to someone who does, or start taking her apart.
I'd much prefer the first option.
£649.00.

I'll take a couple of pictures tomorrow.

Hello DD, Sorry family stuff took over today.
I have just tried to take a couple, but even with the light on in my garage it looks like a black hole. I'll wheel it out and take a couple of pictures when I get home tomorrow.
It's dark in the morning when I have to leave for work.
Now stuck in the car with the other cagers.

I finally managed to get home from work today with enough time to get a few photos taken before the darkness got the better of me. Unfortunately Flickr is being a knob and won't let me upload them. I'll get them uploaded at work in the morning.

OK so I've decided to start taking her apart.
It'll take me awhile as I have limited time. But as I've removed stuff and cleaned it up I'll post pics etc.

So just to reiterate. She's old covered in road crud at the moment. Been dropped a couple of times. But never crashed. Yeah my foot was broken by a ****tard in a Saab. But it just clipped the foot peg and that was replaced.

Let me know if you are interested in anything before I smoother Ebay with cheap SV parts.

Anyone know the best way to drain a full petrol tank safely?

A siphon?

Sorry I missed you putting the link up to pictures, it's a bit too battle worn for me I'm afraid plus I've been told by the boss no more sv stuff as I've got a load of curvy stuff sitting around and she wants me to find a suitable van and turn it into a camper before March

As for draining the fuel, 2 options
1, siphon it out, should get most out of it
2, use a vacuum pump in the fuel tap to create vacuum to open the tap, fuel line from the tap to a suitable container
