Battery or reg/rec

I know it's been asked a million times before but bare with me
Woke up.other morning battery was flat
Charged battery and went out
Friend killswitched me after riding for about 2 hours with headlight on and basically dead the last crank it started [emoji26]
Come to teat reg rec today and it's been changed for a model.i don't recognise
YHC-054
Below are the battery voltages at different stages
Ignition off - 12.33
Ignition on - 12.30
Lights on - 11.70
Engine idle - 13.30
Engine 5k - 13.14

No from that I'm guessing reg rec ?

From the voltages it looks like that

Follow this Youtube guide

Googling your RR says its one off a 1999 Suzuki Savage. Looks like yours has had issues before

Get a decent one from here, mine went last year, and I found there's 2 types for our year SV, one has two connectors, the other a single

Re: Battery or reg/rec

is this the first time that battery has gone flat overnight?
do you have an alarm fitted?
have you fitted one of those ebay usb sockets recently?
have you checked the rec/reg connections for condition e.g. furred up?
have you checked the battery connections to make sure they have not come loose?

Re: Battery or reg/rec

my guess is that you have turned the ignition round to 'park' which has drained the battery.

has the battery taken a charge and kept it since?
testing the charging system requires a new/good battery or you get false reedings.

Re: Battery or reg/rec

Think I'll just change both
Some weird rectifier would rather get a MOSFET one and a decent battery

Just thought I'd add that I recently had to help a M8 with his SV650s.He went to his bike and it had a flat battery.Turned out he had accidentally turned the ignition key all the way to the left and removed it so it had left his parking lights on :O

I'd see the parking lights on as it's right outside my bedroom window and it's dark as hell out there haha
