Braided lines

I'm getting a list of parts together for the winter project I've got planned for my SV.

I'm looking at upgrading to braided brake lines. I've got a mate that makes them and will do me a mates rate price.

He just needs the length of the lines and the angle the banjos need to be.

I'm going for the 2 line setup for the front.

Can anyone tell me what length (roughly) the hoses need to be for front and rear?

Also. I'm thinking I need a straight and a 20° banjo for the master cylinder end and just 2 straights for the calipers end. My mate says that I may need 20° banjos for the calipers but the standards look staight to me.

I've yet the check the rear banjos but I'm assuming they are straight.

Does any one know what I would need?

Ideally I'd just have a quick look at a goodridge kit for a SV but it's all shop online these days.

Thanks.

I can’t speak for what you need for the SV as mine is stock minus a set Pirelli Corsa 2s and some CL XB5K pads up front.

HEL braided brake lines. They are priced right and came with everything I needed for my cbr1k. If you go to the website below they have everything in kits, you can order just front or front/rear. They best part is they come in multiple routing preferences and all the hardware to swap out the old ones.

HEL lines are all very nice but Id prefer the mates rate price and have the savings for some other goodies!
What model SV have you got exactly Paul?

Second hel lines got them on my sv1000 not something I would be willing to scrimp on.

I have the front original lines removed to replace a few days ago sitting in a box in the garage. I'll try and measure them up later for you. Rear is very easy to measure on the bike. The banjo bolt angles are very important on the rear though due to it's short length.
