Starter Button Knackered

Randomly, seems that over night my starter button has given up and after trying to bump start, trawling threads/posts on here it seems its the start button that's playing up.

Button only fires the bike into life if I push it down hard pushing to the left so I'm guessing the contacts are dirty/knackered - is it easy to replace this switch gear?

It's easy to strip and clean them.
You need basic hand tools, small soft wire brush (brass), contact cleaner and a dab of rubber grease.
Job takes about an hour to do the entire switchgear.

Is it a curvy or pointy?

Doesn't sound too bad then - is this fairly common? Its a 2008 pointy.

Yeah happens to most switchgear. Its the weather getting into them.
You need to trace the cable and strip one of the side panels, unplug it and unscrew it from the clip on
