The all new, slap bang up to date photo of the day 2023
Here we go - prompted by Matt's comment. Any chance we could pin this please Mr Admin sir?
Just to get us started, a picture of a roofless shed, a lurcher, and one of the chaps who took away the asbestos roof. https://i.imgur.com/cEZQmHi.jpg |

Even with all the PPE, asbestos removal is not a job I'd fancy ....

I do like a Victorian pumping station - those enormous beam engines are just amazing.

From your earlier post, am I correct thinking that this is Claymills pumping station? Since I don't live all that far away from it, I really ought to visit, preferably when it's in steam! |

I visited Crossness Pumping Station on the South Bank of the Thames a few years ago on an open day. Part of Joseph Bazalgette's remarkable Victorian transformation of the capital's sewage system. Such an ornate and remarkable building. I'll have to hunt out a few pics...
