Found my snow shovel from its hiding place in the garage. Don't know why I bothered to clear a path down the drive as most of this has now melted.

The salt needs vehicles to work properly but not many out it Belgium and France this morning. Had planned to leave Brugges at half 9, so eating breakfast at 8 and saw it was snowing, so hit the road by half 8. Didn't get to Calais until 11. Couldn't do more than 40 in an 80.

I nearly missed this shot, I had set my camera down with the lens locked (creep lock) and had my camera bag in my left hand when he landed. Not only did he sit there long enough for me to pick the camera back up, switch it on and unlock the lens plus zoom a bit but sat there and posed a bit all while still holding the camera bag. I didn't notice the scissor beak until I got home, needs clipping. |
