Anyone out for a run this Saturday?

As per the title really.

I'm planning to join the mag demo in Brum, so could go out in the morning and end up there (of course no obligation for anyone else to hang around the demo), or we could start mid-afternoon after the demo (turn up earlier if you want to join the protest).

If the weather is atrocious, I'll still be going to the demo, but probably won't be going for a run, just there and back.

Didn't know there was a ride after, but that many bikers that I don't know? No thanks. I'd rather go off and do my own thing.

I think he's talking about your suggestion to go for a ride after - I'm not aware of an organised ride to follow up.

Just in case anyone is undecided, these are the sort of things coming through the works:

from airbox to rear tyre size, compulsory headlight use, onboard
diagnostics etc

Then there's the threat of compulsory day-glo/reflective clothing as is
proposed in our neighbours Ireland and France.

And the power for the authorities to make roadside checks of bikes for
'road worthiness', as part of the broader pan-euro road worthiness
proposals advocated by the private companies TuV and DEKRA.

We should also show our support for the French who are facing a ban on
filtering and a ban on bikes over 7 years old being used in urban areas.

The only thing I want to add is that it might be worth investing a few rounds of beer money (£25) in MAG membership as well... you know it makes sense, because it pays for our guys to argue these things in the houses of parliament.
