Are there going to be speed/ability groups on the ride out??

As there is going to be approaching 70 peeps going and well over 50 bikes. I assume this is a bridge to far to speek keeping all together on a ride out.

Therefore are there going to be seperate groups?

I am lucky enough to know most of the roads we are goin on, so will be 'hoonng' around if its warm and dry.

The Annual Rideout is just that.

A group ride

One group, taking a leisurly ride together, at a pace that is reasonable for ALL attendees.

Its not a hoon ride, its a social ride.

Feel free to be anti-social if you wish

IMO there will be too many bikes for hooning and the AR is social ride out, not a race. I'm sure the marking and TEC will ensure no one is lost, so we can all stick together and natter at halts etc :)

Nope one group. People will split up into smaller groups naturally and the route will be marked so no need for racing or riding out of your comfort zone.

Its a social ride and the pace will reflect that it wont be as quick as the Dorset Doodle was. Even though it uses some of the roads.

I'll say this now, its not directed at anybody, but its just a gentle reminder.

If you want a race, or a flat out hoon, or ride like a hooligan rideout, then the AR Rideout isnt for you.

The way it's always worked in the past is that we run drop off markers. The faster people then gravitate to the front and the slower to the back, but it isn't really a hoon.

fair enough then mate, ill just have fun by starting at the back and picking my way through the field of riders, to get to the faster group.

No need to jump down the guys throat, he's only asking! Many of us like a hoon occasionally, this just isn't the time and place

And to anybody that does want to "hoon" amongst the slower people, Remember that you may be experienced enough to make snap decisions but is everybody around you able to do the same ?????
Having somebody come flying past at a scary pace can be very off putting for some and could cause them to panic so all you see is an accident in your mirrors. Think of everybody else please.

Not really a good plan.

If you are behind someone who is a new rider and looking to make progress then they may fell pressured to go faster which could either cause them to lose confidence in their riding, or try and go faster and have an off.

Also bear in mind that this may be some peoples 1st group ride, and certainly will be many peoples 1st ride in such a large group

Just join the pack wherever you do and ride, if you need to overtake someone then do so, but think about it 1st, do you really need to be ahead of them.

In otherwords, sounds like you are planning to be a k**b - dont be

in my short experance, newer riders dont like doing drop offs, so you need the faster riders to get to the front to drop off, aslong as its done safely, there should be no problem?
