Has anyone got any experience/recommendations for resin/epoxy garage floor coverings?

I'd definitely recommend going that route if you can justify the cost. I did my new garage/workshop floor with it about 10yrs ago, and it has stood up to wear extremely well. The other garage with regular floor paint has worn a lot, as you would expect.
The 2-pack solvent based stuff I used didn't give very long working time, just something to bear in mind. Prepare and get ready to paint, then do as much as you can apply in about 5mins in one go. Don't even think about cleaning equipment, just bin it.
Use a stabiliser first if the surface is at all powdery or soft.
Can't recommend any specific products I'm afraid. I got mine from an online specialist paint supplier, not cheap but good value.

We used to get epoxy floor for the fork truck driveways in the car part factory I used to work at - it had grippy particles in it, without the particles it would have been so smooth and deadly with even a slight amount of water or oil on it. It was very hard wearing but was laid by professionals so don't know the make.

This comes up every now and again, I've even asked the question. I ended up using Bradite DP5LS Low Slip Floor Paint from Brewers. And a couple of years later was happy with the results.

A couple of years later and I'm still happy with it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did find this: https://www.resinfloorcoatingsuk.com...r-coating-kit/ which is one possibility. I'm also going to get a quote to have it done professionally although that may be a clash of expectations versus reality. (I expected it to be a lot less expensive).

I thought about doing this to my workshop some years ago.
But ended up buying **** loads of used carpet tiles.
They keep the dust down, easy to hoover and most of all help keep it warmer in there.

My Dad had carpet tiled our garage but it was a pain maneuvering the bike on its dolly and I had major issues with condensation although running a fan alleviated that. He would dry the car before putting it away but it still carried a lot of water onto the tiles which took a long while to dry. I'd consider them for a workshop but not for a garage.

I think what we used to have was called Stonehard, a bit ott for a garage (factory floor with fork trucks). Lasted well as you'd expect, think about having some form of aggregate in the coating so you don't skate with wet feet.

Mine is just a workshop. I even fixed some carpet tiles to my bike lift/bench.
The tiles i bought are very heavy duty and they dont move about.

Hi Seeker,
I work for PPG Industries (worlds largest coatings company). we manufacture a number of solutions from small domestics to stuff you can park planes on.

Resin is most deff the best way to go, the key thing is what is the floor like now, preparation is key.

I can recommend products if you want, or if you need any help let me know, specifying performance coatings and flame protection is my day to day.
