Oh fair do's, how do you find the mk3? Been looking at swapping our 05 plate for a 10-12 plate 1.6dci 130 if I can find one in my price range

Have the scenic as OH is disabled and finds it easier to get in and out of, find the doors sweep too much on other manufacturers eequivakents. it good on fuel but the pollen filter for air con is a nightmare, the oil filter is a pain too it's at the top and air filter pretty similar if your servicing yourself. Ours is a 10 plate and they can be picked up fairly cheaply now. Had it 18months and OH loves it still. Have the 110 1.5 dci TomTom model

Our grand scenic is the same engine I think but in 106bhp form, a bit gutless with two adults, two grown up kids and a 10 and 5 year old. Efficiency is the winner though as fully loaded to Cornwall averaged 56mpg not with a light right foot all the time either.

I have found on cars with aircon that if you turn off the aircon at least a mile from home (or your destination) and give the condenser time to dry out before you leave the car parked it doesn't tend to breed all the germs and fungus that it does if it is parked with a wet condenser - and that stops the system smelling like a drain.

brand new front wheel as i flat spotted the last one going over a pot hole and a nice new clutch mech, after stripping the old one it looks fine if missing a bearing.. lol. so i'll get some new bearings and keep it as a spare.

My spaz nav. Bought a better mount that goes on in place of a handlebar mounting bolt so put the standard one on my bicycle. No more stopping to check the OS map every time we get to a junction. Hoorah.

DomP - I have a Mk3 Scenic - had a Mk2 also. As have 3 small kids perfect family wagon.
Mk3 much nicer. Mines the 2.0 petrol one - had the 1.5 diesel slug.
More smiles, less miles.

Thanks SG, ours went through the MOT fine this time just a few minors so I'm quite pleased after the parking brake dramas. I think changing it is on the back burner for now but a mk3 is what I'd go for it think. What mpg do you get from the petrol? The newer 1.6dci is meant to be quite an improvement on the 1.5

Brakes bled after new MC, nipples and braided lines.

Radiator ready for the fan ( we couldn't figure out how the fan bolted on until I was examining pics later on at home <embarrassed smiley> I was about to buy replacements and had a eureka moment!
