C Spanner Size?
Hi,
I own a 2004 SV650S. Need to adjust the rear shock but when I bought the bike second hand I never got the C Spanner. Anyone have any idea what size the spanner is (in mm) so can order a replacement off fleabay. Thanks Von |
Re: C Spanner Size?
Until you get a better answer....
I have a 1999 Curvy so my C-spanner spec may not help but I have just tested the old way I used to do my old Hondas rear shockers adjust on my,"Curvy" using a pair of these, http://www.diy.com/departments/value.../605663_BQ.prd http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Neilsen-25...1%26rkt%3D1%26 http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/T8UAAO...gDd/s-l400.jpg Worked pretty easy even on the side-stand.Would be even easier if the rear wheel was off the ground<Paddock-Stand). Useful tool to have around anyway if you don't have a set. HTH :) |
Re: C Spanner Size?
I use a drift and a large hammer. Just tap the top ring to loosen it off and then the same with the bottom ring.
Yeah it's not pretty but it certainly beats ripping the skin off your fingers when you use a c spanner... |
