Un-lowering + other comforts!
Hi all,
So the previous owner has lowered my gladius, by replacing the two metal bars in the rear suspension. Can anybody recommend a provider for some OEM spec bars (are they called d-link bars?)? Also, I would like to fit some handguards, but have renthal bars on at the moment, so I was going to use: https://barkbusters.net/products/uni.../3506-bhg-151/ Anyone had an experience with this? Then finally I'd like to stick a bit of a screen on it, any recommendations? Thanks very much! |

Expensive originals here (check year though) :https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts...-cushion-lever Less expensive:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/P-Suzuki-...IAAOSwSw5d27uP I don't have any experience with barkbusters. I have a 2016 AL7 and used handguards from a DL650 which fit ok, but I have stock bars. Hard to recommend screens (imho) because it would depend on your height and just a few inches might make the difference between smooth airflow and helmet buffeting. I've been pleased with the Givi screen on the AL7, I like the fit, finish and looks - I do get minor buffeting with a slight crosswind but I understand that is often the case, irrespective of make of screen. MRA, Puig and Ermax make screens for Gladius. |

Don't think the barkbusters you put link on will fit, look like they are for steel bars
you need the fittings for ally bars as the hole is smaller(the end obviously!)I used to use motocross ones but they can be a bugger to fit I have a nice Givi screen for sale at the moment off my Gladius https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352987496038 I changed for a MRA one(bigger, taller) but get more wind noise from the MRA one Givi one is vwell made & sturdy fixings just slightly less wind protection than MRA one |

Thanks for your reply Bilky1. I don't have the standard bars, I've got Renthal high bars on, so not sure...!
I'll take a look at that screen, thanks. Just waiting to see whether my bike sells on ebay at the moment, then commit to all the upgrades! |
