Have been hearing race commentators say how it is such a shame that he has lost his ride for next year as he comes good towards the end... just like he did last year... and the year before. The man only rides well when a P45 is waved at him and people are saying that he should stay in the championship. Here's looking forward to a clear out of the ones that are just there to pick up a wage.

He is a talented rider, but everything needs to be just right with him and the bike for that talent to show.

He does bring a lot of sponsership though. Sometimes money talks louder than talent :-(

i like him and was gutted watching him drop to 6th on sunday.

I'm not a big fan, and have often felt that there are better riders out there who deserve the ride (Melandri for starters). Plus Elias can be a bit reckless at times, and has a habit of hanging onto others' coat tails in order to boost his qualifying position.

That said though, I have to respect that he's turned out some decent results recently, so let's see if he can keep it up. They summed it up well in the Eurosport commentary this weekend when they were talking about his team having to find the right package to get im to perform, i.e. low wages and high reward for results. Needs a bit of a kick up the bum I think! :lol:
