If it's bottom end then it's f###ed. Time for an ebay motor.

Re: end of an engine?
Was the oil level low?
Sounding like a scratched record---For those old enough to remember scratched records. |
Re: end of an engine?
I bet you a shiny penny the big ends are gone ...
Either just a normal failure or as BB said ... oil starvation ... either way new enjin' time :( Are you into ya wheelies?!?! |
Re: end of an engine?
lol i used to wheelie a bit but stopped as i need the bike for work and didnt want to start ****ing chains and sprockets etc, actually checked the oil before the ride. normally ride quite hard but i thought it is fairly rare for them to go......is it definitly a new engine job (as soon as i heard the noise i turned off the bike)

Re: end of an engine?
If it's big ends then the only way it's not going to be epic fail is if you're a lucky git and it's only knackered the shells and not the crank. Only way to do it is to pull it to bits and have a look. It's engine out and split time though.
In this case I don't think a video will help as it could be another sort of rumble. Needs somebody wise in such matters to go have a listen in person really. |
