TOASTER------one that takes four slice of bread upright so that the whole slice of bread is toasted and the top inch not left as warm bread, also will pop a teacake or hotcross bun out without the need to fish it out with a fork.
I find the modern toasters do not accommodate the normal size sliced bread unless you put it in on the horizontal and the pop-up mechanism inadequate for smaller items Stupid I know but you can hardly walk into a shop with a piece of bread and try it for size in the shop. |
Re: Recomend me a
There's a stainless 4 slicer on sale in Tesco at the mo, take bagels, muffins and all sorts of stuff and big enough for a slice of hovis to be completely toasted. I sometimes need to pull the lever up the last inch to get the slice/bagel out. Best toaster we've ever had, was £30 or sumfing. Dunno brand, murphy richards I think.

Man can go to the moon, fly at thousands of miles per hour... yet its so ****ing hard to get a decent toaster. I have to resort to turning my toast about 4 times to make sure its even!

If it's that much of a mission, I might go buy a spare!

Re: Recomend me a
Its called the grill on your cooker, makes the best toast exactly how you want it... We have a toaster in the house but half the time I don't use it... probably not the answer you were looking for though...

Re: Recomend me a
We have this two-slot Russell Hobbs one at home and the four-slot version at work. I've done toast (frozen and fresh), crumpets, waffles and pancakes in it. It's great, the only problem is that it's a little TOO deep so fishing some smaller items out like the crumpets can be a bit tricky.

How about a Magimix Vision - Lets you see that your toast is being toasted properly...
Yours for £145  |
