Numb bum

So a few people must have experienced the numb bum after riding a pointy SV for more than a couple of hours .
Well i`m thinking of doing the 2cm gel pad seat insert and wondered if anyone else had tried this approach or any other that seems to have improved their ride , any tips appreciated.

I've thought about buying a cheap 2nd hand rider seat off eBay for my Curvy and doing what you say.Even my Curvy's seat can cause a bit of Numb Bum after I've been out all day say after 150+ miles. As I'm a tightwad I keep a small oblong of 3" deep foam rubber rolled up in my packpack and stick under my A*se if it starts going dead :D

Yeh I've seen that stuff and thought the same. You could even make it up as a cover like some of those expensive Seat covers that are on eBay etc and then you won't damage the original.Black PVC leatherette is pretty cheap.

Buy my converted seat r1ffr4ff it's got a nice deep foam, which makes all day riding on a curvy possible.

Thanks for the offer but I'm ok with what I have Maviczap.I'll most likely be winterizing the bike soon or just using it for short shopping trips and am waiting to hear about some Contract work in Europe :)
