I have to also add, don't be afraid to not filter! I've never regretted not filtering if I thought the situation was too hairy! Doesn't happen very often though... ;)

It's this kind of filtering that scares me. I would hope to think that none of you do anything that crazy. (or do you)

Im sure some of the soho massive can draw comparrisons with the traffic in our nations capital. But I doubt any of them would actually ride like that through it.

On occasion I see a SRAD GSXR playing with traffic in that manor through Leeds City but one way or another those kinds of riders dont stay on our roads very long. Come to think of it, I havnt seen him in a while.

Filtering is where we (bikers) get our advantage over the car as long as its done reasonably then most car drivers are willing to help you out and make more room. I started off by waiting for a bike to come along and then filtering behind it watching for what they were watching for etc. I've always thought your more likely to get seen that way. Then as your confidence grows, you find yourself doing it without a second thought.

lol. I'm not too experienced in the city. I live in the countryside so its mostly just country lanes so far. Still, nothing has been as scary as going down the A30 on my little scooter going 35mph. Petrifying :smt009

This guy is all over the place, rear wheel spinning under power, rear wheel trying to come round on him under braking, dosnt blip on downshifts

What a plonker

Most people I've seen are in far more control of the their machine. Even the ones that filter a bit too fast
