Issue with brake/tail light wiring

Hi all,

I have an aftermarket light that I want to run on the back of my bike, but have n issue with the wiring. Have the three wires, and have managed to get both the rear light and the brake light working.

My issue is that they are the wrong way round - bright light comes on with the lights and the dimmer rear light comes on when the brakes are applied.

Can anyone offer me any advise to change anything to get them to work correctly. Simply swapping the wires only makes the dim rear light come on when the brakes are applied.

Its a '99 Carby loom if that helps.

Cheers!

so you have 3 wires and you are swapping them around. Do you know what each one does? IIRC one will be the sidelight, the other the brake light feed and the 3rd the negative. By the sounds of it it is wired up wrong
