Curvy antifreeze leak
Put a new battery in my 2002 sv650s.
Been sitting for 10 months since I got hit by a car. Fired right up, ran fine , rode about 5 miles and when I got back antifreeze was dripping from the left side case cover. What's leaking??? |
Re: Curvy antifreeze leak
Either a coolant pipe has perished or split, or possibly the clout by the cart has dislodge a pipe from its union. Or you may have a radiator leak.
Can you clean and dry the whole area and dust it with talcum powder Bill? That should give you some idea about where it's coming from. |
Re: Curvy antifreeze leak
If you need a radiator I've got one in my garage.

Thanks Gary ! Yes, Leaking from the union on the front cyl. I'll get a new one and an o-ring and a new pipe for good measure while I have it off. Crusty looking bolt holding it down. 🙄 Hopefully soaking it with penetrating oil for a few days prior will help. |
Re: Curvy antifreeze leak
Excellent, easy fix hopefully. Let us know how you get on. Pictures maybe for those who've not had to deal with anything like this before?
