Weather :(

Keep hoping the weather will pick up a bit so I can go for a ride, but the forecast is absolutely crap for the next couple of weeks. Having just washed all the crud off the bike and wiped it down with ACF50 makes it kind of hard to ride in the current conditions and get it plastered again. :-(

Ditto that. The day I taxed the bike the sun disappeared.

To be fair, the coat of ACF50 does make it easy to clean the bike off with just water. But it's soooo shiny now!

I feel your pain. Took Hugh out two weeks ago when we had the really nice spell but could see the dried salt crud on the road so spent twice as much time afterwards hosing and cleaning as I did riding. All the chrome and the spoked wheels takes a lot of cleaning so I don't want to be doing that after every ride.

Well then, the roads are dry, it's not raining, and I need to go to FiL's in Newtown to collect a spare VGA cable so I shall go on the bike.

Trouble is, I've just run my 2-piece waterproofs through the machine with Tech Wash and then TX-Direct to reproof them. They're currently hanging up drying so I shall have to take my old, one-piece (not very) waterproof suit and hope that if it rains it's no more than a few spots.

Made it there and back without getting rained on. Few big puddles on the roads though mean the bike has a few splatters on it now. I'll clean them off a bit later.

Nice result Gary. Lady Poppy and I were both on two wheels yesterday but they were the unpowered variety on the delightfully flat cycle paths along the coast from Brighton to Shoreham. Went down to see The Monkey and her boyfriend and planned to get as far as Worthing but there was a heck of a headwind on the way out so we stopped short. Easy ride back mind! We were very lucky with the weather apart from that, as it was drizzly when we left home and pouring down at 11pm when we got back. Bikes are still outside on the roof carriers though as I sit here with aching legs summoning up the energy to go and get them down again...

As long as it bucks up in the next couple of weeks, as I should be back on two wheels by then ...

Mot'd the SV and it's been rubbish since. On the one day I got out broke down due to battery failing and lot of fun and games to get a replacement sorted.

On the plus side the poor weather has allowed me time in the garage to work on rescuing a slighly neglected gsxr750 I've managed to acquire and get that but closer to bringing back to the road. [emoji16]
