Valve Clearance Readings

Dear Orgers

I done my valve clearances a couple of weeks back, and here are my readings from the 15k interval check:

L R
Front Inlet (IN) .8/9 - .10
Exhaust (EX) .25 - .25

Rear Inlet (IN) .10 - .10
Exhaust (EX) .25 - .25

Can anyone tell me whether I'll need to change the Left Front Inlet now or can it wait until the 30k check, as it's about an 8 or 9 gap.

If it does need changing now, what shim size do I need to buy??

Thanks

Chin

Re: Valve Clearance Readings

I'd change it - it isn't that difficult and if it's a dab narrow there is the possibility of damage.
The shim needed is calculated dependant on the size of the shim that's in there now.

Thanks for such a quick response Mr Squid.

I know that your advice is Gospel, so I'll get it changed as soon as. I just wanted reassurance that it needed changing now.

Thanks again.

Chin
