How did it go? Weather in the afternoon didn't look great. I'll be booking a track day as soon as I get the alarm removed on my SV.

When I arrived it was raining, got talking to a couple of local blokes and they said it had been raining heavy over night, it was mega wet!.

I managed the three sighting but no more, after hanging around for a couple of hours decided to call it a day and headed home.

Let us know when your planning a day out.

Sounds like a bit of a disaster! Don't you have wet tyres? Was thinking of getting some myself. Even bought a spare rear wheel as I found a cheap one on ebay. Then I looked at the prices of the tyres themselves!

It was a bit of a let down but better to go home with me and bike in one piece.
Don't have wets I am not really a fan of riding in the rain.
Price of these looks ok:- http://www.fwr.co.uk/product/bridgestone-superbike-rain

Riding on full wets for the first time is a quasi-religious experience. I used to be wary of riding on a wet track, and now I actually look forward to it raining. Just about the best fun I've had on a track (and my best result) was a soaking wet race at Thruxton last year, with standing water everywhere and spray so bad I could hardly see. I was one second a lap slower than I'd been in the dry the day before!

I swear by Metzeler Racetec Rains (or the Pirelli equivalent). First used them at Oulton a few years ago - did the first session on normal tyres and bricked it, swapped to wets for the second session and loved it, had my knee down in the rain in the third session, and binned it in the fourth. ;)

Still, one of the most enjoyable trackdays I ever did was a wet one at Snetterton. There were about eight of us left after everyone else had packed in and gone home at 9am, and I spent the whole day wobbling round in the puddles.

Was going to get these myself but they are for a curvy, look like a bargain to me.

Those look really good vaule, wheels, discs and tyres

I've used Bridgestone wets for years and they are really good.

Now because of our Championship we have to use Avons.

Had Avon wets in last weekend in very wet conditions and they were
spot on and for a lot less £ than Bridgestones

conditions were like this

I have enough problems trying to stay upright in the dry!
