Euro 2-3 day TDs - Anyone done one?
Toying with an early season foreign TD if I get a new (to me) bike all sorted in time.
Has anyone here done one before? Which circuits to go for? And which organisers are good? Anything else to bear in mind? |

Not sure I can tell you anything you don't already know but I'm thinking of doing something like this next year. Almeria and Aragon have been the subject of some beery plans with a few of us. Both No Limits and Focused Events do good packages.
Take lots of spare tyres. |

What I want:
A longer high speed track, if possible a warm version of Spa! Having never thought about a fly away warm TD I've never researched all the options, I want a nice one off to get back into track riding before Easter :) So fire away with your suggestions! |

I'm seriously considering this as value for money and for convenience. Might not meet your track requirements though.

Biggest issue is that I'm not a BSB competitor! :
PRE SESSION TESTING Official BSB Test 1st - 4th March 2012 Alcarass ( BSB competitors only ) |

Bah! this is what I meant to paste. You fly in and watch the last day of BSB practice and then get 3 days on the track straight after. I liked the idea that the price which looked reasonable included shipping your bike out and back. |
Re: Euro 2-3 day TDs - Anyone done one?
I did a 4 day one at Jerez with Focused Events a few years back (about March time, I think). Perfect weather - warm but not so hot your leathers turned into a wet suit!
The track was awesome - fast, wide, some proper scary corners and the GP was only a week later so was already decked out in all the sponsors logos (I did not at all pretend I was Valentino Rossi....). They ran open pit lane so you got loads of track time, and it wasn't too busy. There was some teams pre-season testing (Buckingham on the Quay Garage bike at the time and some nut case kid from Norway) but all mixed in nicely. Downside was we had to get to Swindon or some place to load the bike on to the lorry, but at least we didn't have to drive to Spain! Take spares if you're planning on crashing, though a couple of lads managed to get bikes fixed up by local dealers in double quick time. And arranging fuel was a nuisance unless you had a hire car or the organiser did shuttle runs to the local garage (they did). I also did a 5-dayer at Nogaro but that was donkeys years ago with a company that's gone now. Snowed! MICK.. |

I've done a couple in Spain. Both with focused and first Almeria and this year Cartegena.
had day with Niall MacKenzie Almeria and Simon Crafar at Cartegena. awesome. Almeria my favourite. was on track with bsb lads.peter hickman was awesome. Heard racedays are good . would recommend both tracks. mates have just got back from Jerez and portimao. loved portimao thought Jerez was a bit dull and drab in comparison. Racedays used to do brno which would be cool. do it. Rained most of the time in Cartegenan March but Almeria dry in Feb so still pot luck |
