quick valve clearance question

just removed the covers and trying to align the cams up to TDC. When I seem to turn the Gen rotor in the window to l F the cams arent in the right positions? Any help with this?

Turn it once more to the |F mark.

According to Mr Haynes the lobes should be pointing away from each other.
