Dead Battery After Hol

I have just arrived back from 3 weeks away, and my SV is dead as a dodo! The lights come on and all the panel lights up, but she won't even turn over - not so much as a hiss.

I am a little concerned about this, as I can only imagine it would be the alarm that drained it. But it kind of defeats the object of having one, no? It is a meta alarm, fitted by Suzuki dealership. I'd like to think it were fitted properly!?

Has anybody else had any experience of this happening? Any suggestions on sorting her out for this not to re-occur next time I'm away are welcome.

In the meantime, I'm feeling very sorry for myselfd at missing the best biking weekend we've had this year!#-o

Buy an Optimate or any one of the other 'mate'/' miser' thingys to keep the battery charged when the bike is not going to be used for a long period of time. I've got the Datatool one myself.

And yes, it's normal. ;)

It's only normal if you have an alarm. Mine has sat for 3 months outside in winter and still starts afterward... Obv no alarm...

Bother, really miffed! Just got back from my dad's getting jump leads - trait of being a woman, not owning any?! Still, tomorrow will be fun, taking seat off and trying to jump start! Bet it'll rain too!!!
I know I'm supposed to do it without starting car, anything else I need to know?

Ta to all!

Gotta look into one of those things to keep battery charged now.
