Insurance renewal

Got my insurance renewal from Hastings Direct today, fully comp with a total excess (compulsory + voluntary) of £200 for a 53 plate K3 naked.

On Gocompare Hastings came up with a lower quote so I rang them to see if I could get a better price. Without changing any policy details, I was offered a £23.93 discount bringing the premium down to £87.69 if I paid today instead of waiting a week for the regular renewal date.

Result.

Wow that's cheap!

Carole Nash just sent me a renewal of £758. Managed to get them down to £670. That's with euro breakdown, helmet and leathers cover and excess protection. Still sickening though!

Older and cleaner licences help massively.
My Striple ,765 RS is £180 £200 excess, with the usual legal etc +recovery add on .

Exactly the same with me. My renewal quote was £136 from Hastings but they were, among others, £90 on Confused.com! Rang up and got them down to £90 with barely any haggling. ****es me off they cannot just send out their best price on renewal, without having to do the dance....

Well I haven't crashed for a while.... but being in my 50s and living in a low crime area definitely helps.

Yeah, I'm retired and live in rural south Norfolk. 1 SP30 on my licence (car). GoCompare suggested 4 other slightly lower quotes but with higher excesses.
