Re: Oxford Tailpack
I've got the big square Oxford tail pack, it's pretty good- easy to fit, pretty big, and fairly waterproof even without the bag. With the bag it's ace- but be sure to have a spare big bungee to wrap round it or it'll flap about and either blow off, or fall apart, seen both happen (mine was quite happy at extended bouts of, well, fast up the M6)
THe Oxford humpback tank bag's utterly ace- it's big enough to store stuff in, and it expands too, but when it's the normal size it's out of the way because of the hump shape. Very clever. I had two different rectangular ones before that, they didn't measure up at all. |
Re: Oxford Tailpack
Cheers for the reviews fellas. I'll be off to Hein Gericke sometime this week to purchase a nice yellow tailpack. After reading about the dangers of rucksacks it's about time I had something else for the 50 mile commute each day.

Re: Oxford Tailpack
I've got the sports tailpack & find it really useful. It can be a bit difficult trying to zip it back on the bike when its wet & cold but hey, that's life. I'd sooner struggle for 2 minutes with the zip than wear a rucksack.
Extended its really roomy but you can only fit a laptop in it if you stand it up on edge and forget about the last bit of the top being zipped up - that's where the tesco carrier bags come in handy again - £1500 worth of laptop kept dry with a 2p tesco carrier bag! BTW it fits on the back with either the seat or the cowl but you do need some of the rubber webbing to stop it scratching the paintwork. Mike. |
