250cc V twin (Chinese)

Bigger bikes from Lexmoto, picture of the V twin is about half way down:

I don't know why the article refers to the styling as "flat track, scrambler", to me it's a standard, naked bike.

Sinnis announced that same bike over two years ago, calling it the Buccaneer.
I was quite interested at the time but it never went on sale probably due to Euro4/ABS

It did make it to the USA as the SSR Buccaneer, with more than a hint of 70's Moto Morini about it.

not bad looking, the rear sprocket looks big, I wonder how low it's geared

They're quite nice looking bikes. Wouldn't mind a test ride on one of them.

Narrow angle V twins are notorious for vibration, although on a small engine it may not be too bad. Some say the Ducati, Honda and Suzuki V twins are actually 'L' twins because of 90 degree angle, which is intrinsically well balanced.

I am also curious how air cooled engines can meet emission regulations, and air cooled v twins have had problems with overheating on rear cylinder.

Relates to Harleys much more than other makes.
Reason is Harley use a forked conrod on one of the cylinders so that the rear cylinder sits directly behind the front one.
Other v-twins have better air supply to the rear cylinder.

Can imagine it's slow and gutless though be worried it'd be hard work.may be a good winter work bike though if it's cheap enough.

+ If it's corrosion resistant? Which I doubt is one of it's strong points.

---- looks nice enough though and that tends to be what sells a lot of bikes.

Slather anything in ACF 50 for a happy life :)

My V-strom is permanently coated in ACF - the wife washes the bike and then coats it up every week in the summer months, much less through the winter commutes and it still looks shop fresh (the bike, not the wife, sadly) :)
