Why men should be aloud to sleep around and women shouldn't..............

If you have a key that fits every lock, it's a master key.

If you have a lock that can be opened by any key, it's a crap lock!

I'm sure they can count, they just hold little value for the forces, never had an issue with the TA until this summer, having worked with them for 6 months I have found them to be lazy, badly trained, and generally not fit for task, simple MATTs stump them, and there physical ability is laughable, woe betide this nation when they become the bulk of our defensive capability!

So far I have made sure the lever moves freely, changed the clutch cable, and made sure the little arm thingamabob the clutch cable connects to under the front sprocket cover that pushes the pin in and out (deep breath!) moves smoothly. What should I be looking at next, oh wise ones? Pulling the clutch in sounds a tiny bit clunky down near the gearbox, so I suppose there is something amiss with the actual clutch. Any thoughts?

It'll be the bits falling off the frame internals wedging into the gearbox inners. Chances are either your frame will snap next time you go over 65mph or your gearbox will seize first and the resulting rear wheel lockup will cause all sorts of excitement.

Have you tried replacing the oil with unicorn blood yet?

Anyway, just relax and enjoy the ride tomorrow.

I will mate. Everything will be relaxed, except my left hand, which will be disproportionate muscular with it's constant work out (easy! no jokes!).

Defo the clutch itself now, or perhaps clutch pin. Rules out lever and cable and pushy mechanism thing under the sprocket cover. It may just need a good old clean, but that'll have to wait for the winter months.

Re: GM chit chat thread

is it deffo adjusted correctly, cable isn't snagged anywhere, push rod operating nicely?

About time you've missed the whole summer! So some Autumn/Winter rideout action is called for.

Don't worry mate. If you're lucky, you'll go round one or two corners too fast accidentally, and you'll be branded a riding God like Spank.

Lol. Hope my mis-matched tyres agree with that statement! Anyone know of somewhere local that will fit a part worn tyre and balance it? Got a spare wheel and tyre in the garage, did have a spare front as well but that wen on the raptor last summer

Why you so bothered? He really is genuinely fast in the twisties (no doubt its more the bike than him) but you do have to ride very hard to stay with him, last Sunday he lost me on a roundabout and I'm no slouch!

Oh and it's not just the tyres that Don't match, rear wheel is charcoal coloured and the front is bright orange!

Miss matched tyres is no drama, gets a little exciting if you push real hard but I don't fall off on a regular basis so don't worry.
