First Bike
Hi All
Looking at getting an SV650s first bike! Seen this and was wondering what people thought a fair price would be? Looks in great condition as well 2008 7000m R&G tail tidy R&G radiator protector Scorpion slip-on exhaust Zero Gravity double bubble screen Black rear hugger and chain guard Full service history https://ibb.co/cBKK6K |
Re: First Bike
A fair price would be whatever you're happy to pay.
Impossible to give accurate valuations on such scant information. The accessories add nothing to price, if anything they de-value it. Personally I wouldn't give 50p for it because it doesn't have ABS brakes. You'll get a half decent idea by looking at sold listings on eBay. |
Re: First Bike
You don't need ABS right up until the second you do.
At which point it's too late to get it. |

Re: First Bike
Very hard to find a faired Sv with ABS though?
Not even come across one yet! |

Never on sale in the UK but they do exist elsewhere. Why would you want a fairing? If you want protection from windblast, drive a car. |
Re: First Bike
I prefer the look with the fairing that's all!
So would have to import one over? |

As for abs, I’ve never had a bike with abs and in th 20+ years I’ve been riding I’ve never thought I could do with abs either. So as per normal everyone is different and wants different things from a bike Bernetini- did you buy that Sv in the end? |
Re: First Bike
Ah beaten to it, that’ll teach me to take so long to type a reply!

Which can be a right pain. Or do without ABS and hope you never need it. Other Suzuki options might be a Bandit650S or GSX650F ABS, but maybe a bit big and heavy for a first bike imo. Or for a (cracking) first bike with a faired sporty look, howsabout a Yamaha R3...? A while back I had one as a loaner for a week and a half and very nearly bought it. |
