Might be a bit early to start organising things, but I've just booked the Friday off - so who's riding down from oooop norf?
|
Re: The AR08 Discussion Thread
Weeeeee are going down on the friday. Hopefully chris will be travelling with us accompanied by maria. I presume Mel will travel with us too. Not so sure about Smudge-haven't seen him since he moved house last week
Why are you up for the parting of the waves (of cars)when we all go down together???? |

Re: The AR08 Discussion Thread
Just in case anyone's concerned about transporting stuff, I have a spare Renntec Sportsrack for the curvy SV, and a complete set of Oxford Platinum luggage- tailpack and panniers- which anyone is welcome to a lend of. Obviously they're in Edinburgh but I can post them out if need be.
I've also got a spare tent, it'd be the same deal- I'm not bringing it down on the bike, but I can post it to anyone who's needing a lend. It's a wee Eurohike number, never really used- my mate bought it for festivals but it's not durable enough for that, for Reading you need a tent that will withstand having 5 people in a shopping trolley roll over it, while on fire  But it's a decent wee tent for camping in less hostile environments! And PS, WOOOOO! Top work all concerned, out of the frying pan into the campsite! |
Re: The AR08 Discussion Thread
Can we start Team Renntec? Dizzy, Yorkie and me so far. Any more?
lol |
Re: The AR08 Discussion Thread
Matts just said he's changed his mind, he says he's not taking the raptor anymore he's going ont SRX no.2.........its got a topbox!!!!!!
not if i have owt to do with it. It'll take him a week to get there! |
Re: The AR08 Discussion Thread
I like SRXs, tell him to bring that one, I want a proper look. Raptors are BORING
|
Re: The AR08 Discussion Thread
well as the deadline for booking isn't a concern now, I should be there even if I don't do the actual rideout, as long as I can ride that far, then I can make it back :D.
So far more likely now, nice job Rick. Cheers Mark. |

Would you fit in my top box? Probably not.
Ah, but what if I get that really big one, the Maxia? It'd be bigger than your tent... |

Northy: Well the physio kept checking to see how bendy my leg was, so we could try and see how bendy the rest of me is. And we all know that the underseat storage on an sv was more roomy than my tent. A top box would be luxury, lol. |
