Removing A2 ECM restriction

The previous owner had a A2 ECM restrixtor fitted (licence of which is in the service history) as he was on a A2 licence.

I thought ride it for a bit restricted, get used to the bike as this is my first bike then remove.

However the bike is sluggish as I'm 102kg so it doesn't help and I'd like to remove asap. It looks like a new ECM is required? Or can an official dealer flash thr ECM and what sort of costs are there from experience?).

Thing is is it a new ECU required?!

Re: Removing A2 ECM restriction

you need a new unrestricted ECM. the old unrestricted should have been given to the owner. depending on what year of bike you have there are usually loads on ebay.
