Front Forks Refurb
 

Anybody had the front forks on their SV refurbed? Mine are not in the best condition and spoil the rest of what is a tidy bike. Any ideas on cost and who does it?

hey wolf.. r we talking cosmeticly or mechanicly here?.. as i cant comment on the mechanical side as i jave not yet done nothing like that with mine.. altho there r plenty of ppl on the site who have..

but i have polished the the lower half of my forks as they were starting to corode

I meant cosmetically cos mine are looking at bit work, like the finish or laquer is coming off....

Ah the world of the flacky SV...

Powdercoated mine, cost me £20 including sandblasting (but I did all the dismantling, cleaning and reassembling myself). Fine opportunity to change your oil, springs and oil seals (if the mileage warrants it) while you're in there...
