I took the camera out for the first time in weeks yesterday. I've still got unprocessed shots from Xmas on it. To busy decorating and working.

Tonight we judged the annual worldwide cricket photo competition I organise. 380 entries down to a top 11 with a winner and two runners up.

It makes choosing a winner each month on here look a bit more simple.

I still need to take or find something for this month, but rather than go for a sunset like a lot of others I'm going to try and find something different. May use this photo as inspiration, taken by my friend Kevin. I love this photo of his.

That, LPH, is brilliant. Great use of light & shadows. It's got a James Dean feel about it

Thanks Mr C. She's very pretty is Charlotte. The studio was in an ancient house, all lopsided narrow staircases, lovely fireplaces and crooked door frames.

I know what you mean. I like the Hollywood photos from the 30's and 40's, again black and white but the lighting was always spot on. Also look up Karsh of Ottawa, he really knew how to use light.
