longer shock is better than dogbones. however, there are no stock shocks that are longer enough to
make a difference, so it's either dogbones + shock off a kwak or an aftermarket shock.

btw, the 06-07 zx10r shock will require extensive mods to the battery box and/or relocation of battery because of the position of the reservoir.

Be careful with the carbon fibre exhaust hanger, the street extreeme gets hot and melts it.

avoid longer dog bones and the zx10 2007 shock, it doesn't work without changing the spring too!

Look for a 2004-5 zx10 shock.

Does the 04-05 ZX10 shock not require any modifications to anything to fit?

Battery Tray mate

Its worth the change as the shock as it improves the handling and control at the rear

Anyways have look through here as it all been done to death

ricksv, its worth mentioning your kitted up weight, not because we have some wierd fetish knowing how fat or skinny everyone is, but one other manufacturers rear shock might suit one person but not another.

I personally use a gsxr 750 srad rear shock, but very few others here can get away with it.

There are a few topics regarding what weight, 2 up riding etc suits which rear shock.
