Essex Police to clamp down on Essex bikers?
 

I was getting petrol this morning when a biker came over and warned me that Essex Police were clamping down on Essex bikers is response to the KSi stats. He said he was stopped, but not nicked, for doing over 80mph. The friendly bike cop told him they will be clamping down on any high speed dangerous manoeuvres like filtering and of course speeding. There will be accompanying roadside safety checks etc blah blah.

I thanked him for the tip off but had reservations because as far as I knew Essex Police no longer had Police Bikes? Strange lie to make up though. Anyway down the A13 I go and in the lay-by at Orsett is a Police Bike who had stopped a biker! So make of it what you will but given the amount of deaths on the A13 recently I expect we can look forward to a notable Police presence this summer.

I can assure you that Essex Police do have bikes, most marked but a few that are not as well.

Nothing new about Essex Police targeting bikers, just don't ride like a muppet and you'll be fine
