SV650SK3 swap or sell.
Got a fully faired sv 650s in blue, k3 hugger cowl, led indicators etc.
Lovely condition 7k miles. Have to regularly ride 300 miles to Bournemouth, looking to swap for a more comfortable tourer er6f, street triple etc... Or as advice, would putting normal bars on make a difference? The last hundred miles seem to be murder on my wrists and legs at the moment.... Thoughts on bikes? Would also sell for 2k fsh etc |
Re: looking for a swap
Try leaning on the tank and thus not carry your weight on your wrists. It will also cause less drag, so better fuel economy.

Re: looking for a swap
Tried but I am getting a little old and that just gives me back ache lol.
It's it worth spanking a couple of grand to upgrade toa striple? |
Re: looking for a swap
wouldn't say the triumph could be called a tourer,or that any street triple owner would want to swap his bike for a sv,but if you want a cheap reliable long distance tourer,on a budget! then buy old vfr800,or a deauville or even a bandit 1200/1250

Re: looking for a swap
Don't get a street if you do lots of miles. Will depreciate like a lead weight, and they aren't very comfortable for high mileage (I have one)

Re: looking for a swap
I had the same problem, kept the bike & bought the comfort kit,its like a different bike, love it.
If its only aches you have think about the kit,you can ride it all day no probs. |
Re: looking for a swap
Someone called Matt on here does sell a conversion kit, I think Bibio could narrow him down for you, it's supposed to be much more comfortable but talk to those two and see what they say.

Re: looking for a swap
I had a matt yokes comfort kit, feels like such a different bike to ride, but actually preferred the clippons as I only ride short distances.

Re: looking for a swap
Matt is BANNED. me on the other hand i'm close to it... lol
'Topyokes' is Matt's company. he is a bit of a plonker but his products are very well made and fairly priced. comfort bar kits are the doggyzzz dooodazzz on the SV and turn it into a much nicer bike to ride. |
