Amuzing sights on the AR09 rideout

During the ride yesterday I saw 3 things that amused me as we passed by

1. Some bloke who looked like he was about to say 'This week I have mostly been eatin..........'
2. Some teenager trying to cross the road swearing to himself as more and more bikes kept appearing :smt080
3 All of us passing Great Dunmorrow Police station making that lovely noise

Anybody else seen something on the ride that amused them?

Re: Amuzing sights on the AR09 rideout

1. Most of the Markers doing dances etc when directing us....all were fab!
2. Bear giving me naughty gestures every time he passed me
3. An old lady with a zimmerframe realising that she was never going to make it across the road in this lifetime

Mine was my own rideout to meet you lot at lunch. On the way back, me and Jo got caught in a carnival, and it seemed they thought we were part of it, we got loads of cheers!!

Re: Amuzing sights on the AR09 rideout

I just thought of the other.
When I pulled into the village for the lunch stop, I tried to park up in a safe place. A man said 'you can't park there':-(

....then my army came over the bridge!

I had a little snigger in my lid. You really couldn;t have times it any better :-)

Paul doing the "the meercat" while drunk

Being humped by Lozzo. On a trampoline.

Stuff that made me grin...

* Bear's briefing

* The sound in the pub car park when 80 bikes started up for the morning ride.

* Seeing the markers doing YMCA gestures when I had the sparkly purple bike behind me.

* Riding along with a mile long chain of bikes in front of me, and another mile long chain waiting to get past me. :-)

Seeing the inflatable chair disapear out of the marque into the darkness (Bang! And the Chair is Gone).

The wedding car at the last petrol stop, all the bike pipping, revving and cheering as the bride drove past.

Revving it up in tesco's first stop, took 30 mins for my horn to work again.

Getting piggy-backed into my tent by LeedsMatt therefore destroying it.

Pushing Leeds over who therefore tripped backwards and destroyed Pault6th's tent.

Seeing hovis almost knocked out on a can of beer after being Rugby Tackled out of his seat by guess who.... LeedsMatt.

....So many others i'll add to this later when i think of them all.

For me the best sight (bearing in mind that I didn't see much on the rideout other than flashes of day-glo green) was when I reached the end of the Hanningfield Reservoir Straight and looked in my mirror to see a long line of headlights - in places 3 or 4 abreast across the road as you all took full advantage of the open space

OK i hope some of the peeps who were near me at the time saw this too....
We're riding thru a village, nice and slow being very good. A couple of little boys across the road on the pavment riding their bikes. The smaller of the 2 gives everyone a thumbs up as he's peddaling along and looks really happy to see this mass of bikes...then someone (sadly i dont know who) decideds they need to blip the throttle or change down a gear and gets a good pop out their can....poor little boy scared half to death drops off the kerb, almost does a hell of a tank-slapper but keeps it uprirght somehow.
He was all of about 6 or 7 and how fast he went ftrom grin factor to panic just cos of a poppy exhaust was just hillarious to me (maybe i have a sick sense of humour or something, i dunno)

Anyone else see this??

Yes!!! I did

Amusing things I spotted

1) An old man struggling to cycle with a flat back tyre when we were at the third petrol stop after lunch

2) people standing outside their houses to watch us go past. In particular there was a mum standing with her little daughter who waved so I waved back :D (not all us bikers are scary ya know..)

Don't know who? I s'pose with all those purple sparkly bikes with melting number plates in front of you, it could've been hard to identify the culprit :-dd
I don't think I was trying to make him nearly stack it (was there a corner or something coming up?), but I laugh out loud inside my lid when I saw it happen.
