Garage defender

I had a couple of garage defender locks fitted to my garage doors earlier this week and somebody tried to dig out Tarmac and cement surrounding them. I have had liquicrete recommended to me to fill in small gaps at fitting stage. I think I now need something a bit stronger and was wondering if I mixed epoxy resin glue with liquicrete would it set? Any suggestions anybody?

Why not mix a small amount together and see if it sets?

Am not sure about these things. Sure when installed correctly they will work but it just shouts out look here mate I have something worth stealing in there.

Yeah, move your bikes somewhere else. Whoever did this bit of handiwork didn't do it for no reward.

You want something stronger than concrete????
High strength concrete then, perhaps with fibre reinforcement mixed in. You can add a bit of PVA glue to allow it to adhere better to surroundings.

I wouldn't expect anyone to be able to get past a hard concrete mix, such as 3:1, with reinforcing fibres in it. Is the design poor? Is it such a small piece of concrete you could just lift out the whole thing? If so the solution is simple... more concrete!

I would rather my garage door was secure than vulnerable. If it takes somebody an extra 10 mins to get through the door then it's done its job.

It's a bit tricky, a bit like deciding where to leave your bike. Leave it somewhere people are unlikely to be aware that it is there, hopefully they don't find it and never try to steal it, but if they do they have all the time in the world to get on with it.

I've fitted a pair of these to my garage doors to make them harder to open, you'd make a lot of noise trying to lever the doors open, so these would add another layer of protection
