Silverstone

Really want to do this track again, was the location for the org official track day last year and was amazing.

Anyone planning on going there or know of any dates later in the year?

I think focused have a Silverstone in the calendar but im avoiding focused events if I can manage it.

No limits have one in August I believe. I would e up for it but it would depend on date.

Found a FE on 7th June but it's £155!!

No Limits is 15th August but they haven't put the price up yet. Got my holiday at the end of August and may be unemployed by then but if the price is reasonable I'll be up for it.

What's your issue with FE then?

Re: Silverstone

They are building themselves an awful reputation at the minute. Over booking and forcing people into different groups, cancelling track days when there isn't enough uptake, being overly patronising on briefings and advertising all their track days as: almost full

Apparently they had 80 bikes per group at snetterton the other week. They'd overbooked inters so shifted people into Novice and Fast then wondered why there were so many incidents. They pulled fast group in for a second briefing!!

Re: Silverstone

Silverstone will always be a £150+ day until at least September to be honest. There is hardly any days this year as it is so the uptake will be huge!!

Re: Silverstone

True, it's an awesome track but when it's 1.5 times as much as Mallory I wonder if it's really worth it.

Re: Silverstone

It is awesomely fast but dare I say it, a bit flat and soulless? Donington with all the elevation changes is about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on. Even if it is the same price as Silverstone

If we managed to sort an org day out at Doni i'd definitely be there :)

I'll be up for some Donny action.

P.S. are rubber gimp suits considered to be clothes?

This one?

http://www.focusedevents.com/event_info.asp?ID=2650

At £115 it is a good price even if it is with FE.

Hmmm, just noticed it's 4 groups but limited to 30 per group, not sure if that is good or bad. Wouldn't like if if you only had 15 minute sessions. I'll give them a call.
