Re: The Single malt appreciation thread.
Santa brought me a Lagavulin 16yo and Glenlivet 18yo, so I did quite well too! :D
I was round at a mate's place on Boxing day for the grand opening of a bottle of Ardbeg Supernova that he & a couple of mates bought between them. It's lovely - I could only have a sip though cos I was driving :( |

Re: The Single malt appreciation thread.
Found a cheeky wee wine shop in bridge of allan the other day, had a small but selective range of malts, picked up a cheeky 18yo rosebank which i hadn't seen before.
They also had 6 casks that they've bottled themselves, all of which were a bit different, definately a hidden gem Lilly they also had the entire range of Bruichladdich 16s ie the ones that are all finished in different casks, port sherry madiera etc |

Re: The Single malt appreciation thread.
Not keen on the stuff myself, my ex works for Diageo and taught me everything I know about the stuff, Talisker goes down quite easy, and I'm a member of the Laphroig family :p they'll send a miniature to your door for £4 free p&p

was entertained by their charming daughter and got to play with their new puppy. All in all a very sucessful trip. Thanks again to you both. Unfortunately I then had to spend some time with jillyburd and her smelly dog (i didn't think so), at least the kids were there to keep me amused;) Tiger you'll be pleased and amazed to know she had been doing housework although, S did slip me a note complaining about being used as child labour and being forced to clean her own room. She also had to ask for her dinner at least five times, twas like a scene from oliver.I think you may need to remind your wife this is the 21st century and it is no longer acceptable practice. Hope (sure) your driving test went well and your taxi licence was renewed.:smt028 See you all again soon. |

As for #1 daughter, we make her ask for food 5 times to make sure she's actually hungry, not just bored. Besides, it was probably about 10 minutes since her last 'snack'. Anyway, you did decant some of the Scapa before you left, didn't you? |
Re: The Single malt appreciation thread.
I did offer but your good lady declined
