Oil cooler pipe leak?
took the bike onto the track tues night for a shake down ,came in oil in the belly pan,,looked like it was coming from the metal part of the oil cooler pipe,,took said pipe off tonight cleaned up no sign of any split/hole ,,refited and still leeking from the same place though i cant see any sign of damage,,is this a common problem ??? gord

It most commonly leaks from under the short bit of rubber covering the pipe. The pipe seems to rot under there. Hence these pipes are like rocking horse dung.

You can buy the pair of pipes new but its 3 figures. Other options are to get a hose custom made - there are some threads about that on here. Or you can buy a whole oil cooler off eBay with pipes included. There are usually some available from the US where they get better weather.

Go to your local Pirtek, they'll make one up for you to your spec. Take the old pipes for them to use as a template

I priced it up when mine leaked and the eBay thing worked out cheaper. Depends what kinda deals you can get I spose.

Just checked eBay. Can't post link on tablet but UK pair of hoses: £80
