twisting the wrist to the stop while upright ;)

tbh i dont get great mileage from any rear tyre and people who claim to get 8k upwards must ride like granny's on smack.

the most i have ever got from a rear is 6750 and that was a storm ultra 2. the worst was both PR4's at +-4k. my on at the moment is PR3 and its done 4k and still got loads of life.

the tyre i have hated the most was the PR2.

I got my rear tyre changed today. Still had about 2mm left at this level and had covered 8K miles. So i'd estimate there was potentially about 500ish miles left.
It means the wear rate is about 1500miles per mm, which is great considering the grip level they offer.

Front tyre has about 3mm left, so roughly an extra couple of thousand left before i get that swapped over.

About the same as my original Dunlop tyres after 8,000 miles on my 2020 SV650A ,2mm front and back. I am having a pair of new Michelin Road 5 tyres fitted front and back.

How much should a pair of Michelin Road 5 tyres for Gen3 SV650A including balancing, fitting etc cost ?

Re: Michelin Road 5

IIRC a set of tyres (looking online) is about £250/£260? so add £15 for loose wheel fitting and it should be circa £300 all in, may be a bit more if fitting wheels to the bike.

So £330 fitted to bike would seem about right.

sounds expensive to me, especially as the SV is only a 160(?) rear section.

This is a site i use to price up tyres, as they're always good on price and don't run on deals/discounts.

Tyres here, £250 for a set

Add on fitting, and you should not be over £300 - i'd expect to be paying £290 fitted to the bike and £280 if it was to loose wheels.

I'm £184 for a 180 fitted to a loose wheel. £130 for front 120
