40 years old. Was thinking of getting him an FM transmitter so he can listen to his IPOD as he drives his car across the US. That leaves £20 though.

I'm sat at my desk pretending to be busy and trying to look up presents to get my boss with the money we collected for his leaving do. I've got £40 to play with, and it cant be heavy cause he is moving back to the US so the usual bottle of champange is a no no...all ideas welcome.

Alcohol is never a great gift idea....unless you have a whisky loving scotsman on your hands.

Think about what the guy likes, or perhaps consider how he is viewed by others(assuming its positive). Then make it more relevant and more personal by having it engraved.

A hip flask is too much of a cliche, but something silver is always nice. Maybe with the company logo or perhaps if he is American get something traditionally English.

Consequently considering the firm you work for, the tight *******s should be able to put their hands in their pockets for more than £40!

Hmmm never new that 'Not studying' and 'not doing retakes' went together. Are you the exception that proves the rule?
