The trackday thread.

Thought it might be useful to have a single thread for trackday dates.

I'll kick off, anyone doing Snetterton 16th may?.

Do you ever go anywhere else? I found Rockingham was much better suited to the SV with i'ts shorter straights. You should check it out :)

Re: The trackday thread.

Haha I do mate, Snetterton is my favorite track and its not to far away which is why I go a lot, I am going Cadwell on the 21st!.

I have been to Rockingham didn't rate it much, found Brands okish but wont rush back, I like Mallory its just a bit to far away, Silverstone is ok bit on the expensive side. I keep meaning to do Bedford just haven't got around to it yet! do you fancy going some time?

Re: The trackday thread.

Have you tried Lydden Hill. Great for SV although no garages (like Cadwell).

Will be looking at dong Snetterton in next month or so hopefully and maybe Donington as long as it is not a weekend!

No I haven't, it looks a very short track.

Snetterton is great its got a nice mixture of fast and slow stuff.

Wouldn't have made any difference. Sessions were stopped at 11 and they sent us home at 1. Managed 4 laps in total. 3 of those sighting laps.

Blimey, do you get any refund? Normally they just say it's tough ched if it's the weather

Apparently Jonathan Palmer's terms state if 1 customer rides 1 full lap then No Limits have to pay the full hire fee. As there was actually 2 open sessions, 1 inter and 1 fast, (albeit in terrible conditions and fewer than 3 bikes went out in each) then they have to pay the full amount.

So no, probably won't get a refund. I imagine NLs margins are pretty tight so they won't be able to absorb the cost.

L3nny 31-05-16 07:41 PM

Re: The trackday thread.

Fair play to No Limits, just saw on Facebook that they'll give a full refund.

I wish there were more companies in the motorcycle industry that cared as much as this :)

Re: The trackday thread.

That's a good result. I think FE does a tapered refund for missed wet sessions but I think at most you get 75% back.

Re: The trackday thread.

Blimey you are lucky!

That's good of them to offer a refund

Littlepeahead 01-06-16 09:21 AM

Re: The trackday thread.

And the PR they get from people like you mentioning what good customer service they've shown you is invaluable.

Red Herring 02-06-16 09:35 AM

Re: The trackday thread.

I stopped doing track days with FE because of their attitude towards customers. NL on the other hand have always been first class and it's good to see that hasn't changed.

I thought about this Monday but was worried it might be a wet one but then most of the TDs I do on end up wet! Fingers crossed you get dry sessions :D

Spoilt by rain? Wet track time is about as much fun as it's possible to have with your clothes on!

nutzboutbikes 13-06-16 09:41 PM

Re: The trackday thread.

I do not enjoy riding in the rain and standing around in wet gear all day gets old fast

Cadwell on the 21st anyone?

What did you think of the track?.

Balky001 26-06-16 07:29 PM

Re: The trackday thread.

It was too wet for the tyres I had and they had sold out of wets! I've done Snetterton a few times before, old layout and this one. It's a great track now and trickier than it used to be.
