Who is still about?

Hey, for those that don't know/remember me, I had an SV650 back in 2006-2007 and had a slight encounter with a combine harvester.

I was just wondering who was still about, these forums are a lot more quiet than I remember. I'm back riding again (only took me 10 years), should head out for a blast at some point...

Re: Who is still about?

There's a few of the older crowd still about and lots of newer folk who have helped to bring things back to life again. Come down to Wales next year for the Border Patrol Weekender and catch up with some of the older members and meet a few of the newer ones!

Re: Who is still about?

Should be back a bit more often as just bought a SV1000S K3 last week.

Not had a chance to jump into my big boy pants and take it for a hurl as the weather has been gash. Neighbours delighted though.

A bike license is for life, so glad you have jumped back on. What did you get?

Still here! :salut:

Super quiet in the Ecosse section, especially with our spiritual leader Bibio being off road. It's not entirely out of the question the next event will be the Christmas **** up, so if we don't see you before then...:drink:

I lurk, now and again to see what's cooking.

Long since sold the SV('s), and the Blade, Tiger and most recently the Bandit that replaced them and currently bike-less for a bit to clear up some funds for her indoor's new Milf-Float.

Still, with the wonders of PCP/0% finance there might be something 2-wheeled and new to play on come the Spring.

Err just the car? You're lucky, I fund shoes, uni fees, travel to uni costs, coffee mornings with her friends, holidays away with the kids (without me), books for uni studies, M&S sandwiches

I've got two of those, one starts Uni next week. The bank of dad will still be feeding it, and not proper food, but that Quorn fake food

The other one will finish school when I retire, so you've done well to get off to an early start with that one :D

Definitely, especially if they both come along at the same time. I have no complaints though; I've been the main at home parent/homedad to my girls and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Re: Who is still about?

Needs must - although I'd be strung up for kidding on I'm funding it. I just wasn't organised enough to stash a deposit away in time, so the bike went to free up some funds.

In the grand scheme of what's to come, and based on this morning's trip to the local Kids Shop, it'll be a drop in the ocean spends wise...

I'm not really about any more... Don't even own a motorbike, still on two wheels but it's pedal power now. I'm now just a masochistic endorphin addict.

Not as clean as mine!

2003 plate with 7,200 miles.

Original battery in perfect condition and not a speck of dust on it...

Re: Who is still about?

I still exist, I think I do ???

Grew up, got a big boy V-Twin now, a Tuono. You know how people want more from their SV, suspension, power brakes, etc, Don't bother, just go get a nice Gen 2 Tuono now, before all the good one's have gone.

I'm now admin on the theTriumphForum.com (MrOrange not SIII), so spend most of my time on there now. Come on over, you'll like it. I did own a Triumph, but argued with a cement truck, it won, just.

I still pop in from time to time to see whats happening.

Sold the blade in June 2018 but bought an MT-10, which is awesome. Still struggle to get out on it though as i have a 3 year old who needs constant attention. Hopefully when he turns 5 he can get out out and get a job instead of scrounging of his parents :-0

I'm not here all the time but visit now and again. This forum was great in our days, the days before Facebook that is. Recently sold the old SV. Here's what I got now...

Only just found this group again as I do everything through my phone and don't use the laptop anymore.
Still got a bike but due to work I hardly have time to put any miles on it.
It will be interesting to see how many miles I did last year when it goes for MOT this year.

Already been out for a quick blast this year.

Hopefully get some miles in the Tuono this year. Get my Covid Jag Tuesday so hopefully the rest get theirs soon and life can get back to normal ASAP.

We should arrange a gathering this year!
